Letter from CEO

April 2025

It eluded us then, but that's no matter — tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther ... And one fine morning —

― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

CHAPTER I

One of the central themes of The Great Gatsby is the American Dream — the idea that anyone can achieve success through hard work, regardless of their background and circumstances.

Growing up in the countryside, I lacked access to the extensive repository of knowledge available in Sweden's larger urban centers, particularly in Stockholm. However, in 2023, I received a scholarship from Conni Jonsson, the founder of EQT. This scholarship granted me easier access to capital, connections, and most importantly, knowledge through invaluable relationships. I gained access to resources that a countryside boy like me never thought possible.

Don't get me wrong—I am profoundly grateful for having grown up in Gnosjö, Småland. This remote area, nestled deep within the expansive forests of southern Sweden, is renowned for its pragmatic and entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving. Despite its modest size, the region contributes significantly in terms of taxes, export value, and charitable donations.

Many of my traits are inherited from growing up here, for which I am ever grateful.

CHAPTER II

In 2022, my co-founders and I launched WGR with the aim of developing a solution for circular window recycling.

The journey has been challenging, but in the short span, we have made tremendous strides toward our ultimate goal of enabling the recycling of all windows worldwide.

In the past three years our focus has been on innovating and developing a robust system for window recycling. Something we will continue to do.

We have also unlocked significant value for some early customers, particularly with the family-owned waste management company Ragn-Sells. I want to extend a huge thanks to Christina, Camilla, Peter, the Ragn-Sells team, and the Ragn-Sells family for being brave and investing in the future.

CHAPTER III

Our future focus is to firmly establish our business as the number one destination for equipment used in window recycling.

We also envision expanding into other recycling sectors—especially niche areas—where we can make a meaningful impact applying our world-leading technologies at scale.

CHAPTER IV

In recent months, I have increasingly focused on three key principles when contemplating company building:

Execution, Resilience, Longevity

Anyone can have a good idea, but executing that idea, maintaining resilience during tough times, and thinking with longevity in mind is incredibly challenging. Most successful companies, those with lifespans that span decades, share these traits.

So we beat on, boats aginst the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

Thank you for the first three years, hopefully this company will live until I die, and many decades more.

Sincerely,

Emil Falk
